No. You keep your existing number for voice calls. We provision a separate SMS number for your business texts (same area code where possible). You add it to your Google Business Profile as your “text us” number.

Will it sound professional?

Yes. During setup you pick a tone (casual / warm-professional / brief) and review your starter reply templates. Everything that goes out is a template you’ve approved, slot-filled with your pricing, service area, and FAQs. No generic corporate script, no invented prices.

What if Marcus says something wrong?
